SERENA LEWIS (Faerie: Thorn)

Serena is delighted to be back at the Cardiff Open Air Theatre Festival, having previously enjoyed roles as The Courtesan in The Comedy of Errors, Biondello in The Taming of the Shrew and Ruth/Mrs Viney in The Railway Children.

Serena is also a member of Hijinx Theatre’s inclusive theatre group, Odyssey, and has played The Astronomer in an adaptation of The Nutcracker, Caterpillar in a version of Alice in Wonderland, Fairy in a continuation of Peter Pan and, this winter, will be Mrs Cratchit in Humbug, the group’s take on A Christmas Carol.

Favourite roles with other companies include Dabby Bryant in Our Country’s Good, Jean Louise in To Kill a Mockingbird and Beline in The Hypochondriac.

By day, Serena jointly runs the company Page to Stage Wales with fellow Everyman member Sarah Bawler (appearing in this production as Bottom). Page to Stage creates drama and literary projects in schools and community settings across Wales.

Serena can’t wait to be part of the faerie ensemble as they bring their Midsummer mayhem and magic to the festival!
