SARAH GREEN (Celia)

Sarah started performing at 15 when she took her first principal role in Alan Ayckbourn’s A Chorus of Disapproval with her then-local drama group, Neath Little Theatre. She continued performing with Neath taking parts such as Anne in The Diary of Anne Frank, Eliza Doolittle in Pygmalion and Laura in Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie.

Sarah started performing with Everyman Theatre Cardiff in 2007, playing Sonya in their production of Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya and has since played roles in a variety of productions with them, from Moliere to Arthur Miller. She has been part of Everyman’s Cardiff Open Air Theatre Festival for a number of years, notably playing Adriana in The Comedy of Errors, Olivia in Twelfth Night as well as appearing in her first musical production with them, in 2013, as Adelaide in Guys & Dolls. More recently she has played Portia in The Merchant of Venice and Gladys Pugh in Hi-De-Hi at the Festival.

Sarah has also worked with Cardiff based company AndGo on their productions of Ayckbourn’s Confusions and The Flint Street Nativity and further with Cardiff’s Orbit Theatre Company, appearing as Frenchy in their production of Grease, the wicked stepmother in Cinderella and Mrs Cratchit in A Christmas Carol.

Also with Everyman, she played Rebecca Marshall in Playhouse Creatures in 2019 and was part of the cast for Bronte in 2022. She is delighted to be back at the festival with the fabulous cast and crew of Calendar Girls.
