JOAN HOCTOR (Chris)

Joan has been a member of Everyman Theatre Company for over 20 years: how time flies! Her first performance was Little Red Riding Hood in Into The Woods at Dyffryn Gardens in 1994. After the move to St Fagans she played Victoria Red in the children’s show Jack and the Beans Talk, and then Buttercup in HMS Pinafore. Her most recent role was as Mrs Lovett in Sweeney Todd at the Festival in 2014.

She has performed with many companies around Cardiff, such as Orbit Theatre and Black Rat Productions, with parts including Nancy in Oliver!, Carmen in Fame, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Christine in Miss Julie, Audrey in Blue Remembered Hills, and many more.

Performing is in her blood, as she also sings in two duos: a vintage swing-style duo called “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” with fellow Calendar Girl Laura Bridgwater (Jessie), and “Little Rock”, an acoustic duo playing rock/pop/blues/country.

Joan is so excited to be back performing at this wonderful Festival.
