DANIEL PARKER (Nicely Nicely Johnson)

Hailing from sunny Porthcawl, Daniel is no stranger to the world of performing. He was an inaugural member of Bridgend Youth Theatre and the It’s My Shout films, whilst also attending the “Performance Factory” that is Porthcawl Comprehensive School.

Initially appearing in South Wales Operatic Society’s Carmen and recording for BBC Radio, his first big break was playing the lead role in the BBC’s harrowing drama Care. The film went on to win Best Drama at the BAFTAs amongst sixteen other international awards, Daniel personally receiving the award for Best Actor at the world-renowned Geneva Film Festival.

After numerous TV appearances and stage productions, he then went on to study and graduate from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, touring professional productions throughout the UK and Europe. Daniel decided to become a “mature” student and returned to re-train and graduate with a BA (Hons) in Drama and English, to carry his experiences into the field of teaching, and is currently working as Head of Drama at Caldicot School.

Notable credits include Roger in Rent, Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, Baldrick in Blackadder, Kipps in Half a Sixpence, Max Bialystock in The Producers, Rico in Copacabana, Rooster in Annie, Princeton in Avenue Q, and LeFou in Beauty and the Beast. Directorial credits include Grease, Oliver!, High School Musical, The Lion King, We Will Rock You, Lord of the Flies, Annie, Back to the 80s and Beauty and the Beast. As always, he would like to dedicate this production to his Gram who will no doubt be watching down on him and laughing along with the audience.
