Everyone’s favourite ogre is back! SHREK, The Musical Jr. is a hilarious stage spectacle that will delight the whole family, based on the Oscar-winning smash hit film and outrageous Broadway show.
In a swamp far far away, Shrek’s peace comes crashing down when he’s invaded by annoying fairy tale misfits who have been banished by Lord Farquaad. In a bid to restore calm, Shrek makes a deal with the ‘tiny terror with big ambitions’ and sets off to rescue feisty Princess Fiona with his wisecracking donkey! But no fairy tale adventure is without twists and turns, and Shrek unexpectedly finds love along the way!
This award-winning show is presented by Cardiff performing arts school, and GO Productions, who we are delighted to welcome back for their tenth Festival family show.
Specially adapted for young children, this 1 hour musical spectacular will delight big kids and little kids alike. We can’t think of a better way to start the summer holidays!

Mewn ymgais i adfer ei fywyd tawel, mae Shrek yn dod i gytundeb â’r ‘cnaf bach ag uchelgeisiau mawr’ ac yn cychwyn ar daith i achub y Dywysoges Fiona danllyd gyda’i asyn ffraeth! Ond does yr un antur dylwyth teg heb ei throeon trwstan, ac yn annisgwyl mae Shrek yn dod o hyd i gariad ar hyd y ffordd!

Sophia Gardens
Sophia Gardens (Welsh: Gerddi Sophia) is a public park in Riverside, Cardiff, Wales, on the west bank of the River Taff.
The gardens are listed on the Cadw/ICOMOS Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales.
Sophia Gardens is located close to Cardiff city centre and is adjacent to Bute Park and Pontcanna Fields. It is linked to Bute Park by the Millennium footbridge over the River Taff (1999). In addition to the Glamorgan County Cricket Ground, the park contains the Sport Wales National Centre, Brewhouse & Kitchen public house, an exhibition area and a car and coach park, and the former warden’s house.
